For thousands of Gilmore Girls fans all over the world,
the long wait for the highly anticipated revival of the well-loved series is
almost over. Since the news about Gilmore Girls revival broke out, fans have
been in the dark to the actual date of release, but now the countdown can
begin!
As previously announced by Netflix, the release will happen before year 2016
ends. Indeed it is, as the release date
is on November 25, 2016.
Gilmore Girls Season 8 started filming in February 2016 and to the delight of
fans, most of the original cast members will be part of it. Furthermore, the
latest addition to this successful comedy-drama series will again be handled by
its original creator and producer, Amy Sherman-Palladino.
Gilmore Girls Season 8: A Year in the Life may only
have four episodes but it is no reason to fret since each episode will be as
long as a full-length movie. Each of the
ninety-minute episodes will follow the lives of the main characters in one
season. Fans are hoping that the new season will provide light to most of the
questions that have left the viewers hanging since the sudden finale of Gilmore
Girls back in 2007.
One burning question is about the relationship status of
Lorelai (played by Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel). Palladino recently
confirmed that Rory will be single in season 8 but then there are reports that
her past love interests, Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), and
Logan (Matt Czuchry) will have cameo appearances. Meanwhile, fans want to know
if Lorelai ended up with Luke (Scott Patterson) or with Christopher (David
Sutcliffe). Of course, viewers are likewise curious about the
whereabouts of other well-loved characters in the fictional town of Stars Hollow
such as Emily (Kelly Bishop), Sookie (Melissa McCarthy), and Paris (Liza Weil).
Hopefully, the questions will have clear answers soon!
