The Rationale:
In celebration of international peace day, the Philippine Society of NSTP Educators and Implementers, Inc. (PSNEI) together with Global Peace Festival Foundation Philippines, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. Committee on Youth and Children's Welfare and the Higher Education Institutions' NSTP Sector have worked collaboratively for the nation's largest Youth Peace Festival.
This year, National University is chosen to host the prestigious event that will gather more than 18,000 students from the National Capital Region (NCR/Manila) in various activities and competitions within and outside the campus, contributing to peace awareness among youth and the local communities.
It shall be highlighted by a "dance for peace", simultaneous release of thousands of blue and white balloons over the Manila Bay and an attempt to form the the WORLD's largest human peace sign (New York had 5,000 participants)
Objective:
· To create awareness and contribute to the sustainability of peace from among the youth and the community.
· To promote camaraderie and strengthen relationship between students, coordinators, trainers, and stakeholders in the implementation of the program.
· To appreciate the value of peace as a means of developing culture of service.
· We invite everyone to join and capture a piece of history. The 20 BEST PICTURES from the event posted on this page (with most likes by Sept.30) shall receive an eco-bag.
