Julie Anne San Jose A Musical Princess

Julie Anne San Jose is definitely one of the most talented and versatile young stars of this generation. She was born on May 17, 1994 in Quezon City. Blessed with a singing prowess, her career started at the tender age of three (3) when she became a part of the children’s show, Batibot. She took a break from singing at age 7 to focused on studies. It can be said that her real entry into showbusiness was in 2005 when she joined the Popstar Kids, a TV singing competition for children where she emerged as one of the top five (5) winners.

As part of her prize, she joined Sugarpop, the show's spin-off band which was able to record two albums, Sugarpop and Sugarpop (Repackaged). She also became one of the hosts of Planet Q, a children’s show. She has performed for variety shows such as SOP and Party Pilipinas.

She first tried acting through the telenovela, Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan. Julie Anne San Jose is also the singing voice behind the theme songs of GMA shows such as Dyesebel, The Last Prince, and Pilyang Kerubin. She is really musically gifted as she can play instruments such as piano, drums, flute, lyre and guitar.

Julie Anne San Jose is paired with Elmo Magalona in a short film produced by Party Pilipinas, called "RedMask" (trilogy). Their onscreen chemistry is very evident so supporters of the Julie Anne and Elmo love team grew.

The second show they did in Party Plipinas is a rap musical entitled "Elmo and Julie Anne: A Wazak Love Story". It is based on William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet".

She is currently taking up Communication Arts at Angelicum College – Quezon City.

Growing Up (U.B.E) Kapamilya Mall Show at SM Bacoor

I was at SM Bacoor in Cavite last Sunday and happen to see the schedule of their October events. One of the posters says that the Growing Up barkada will have a mall show on October 8, 2011 there at around 4pm.

So if you are a fan of this ABS-CBN youth-oriented show, you might want to take this opportunity the see the whole cast in person. Share this to your friends.

Again, the meet and greet event of Growing Up casts (Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montest, Kiray Celis, Diego Loyzaga, Daniel Padilla, etc.) will happen this October 8 at SM Bacoor.

Bagets, Just Got Lucky: The 2011 remake of TV5

Bagets is a classic film in Philippine cinema. It was such a huge hit then that up to now, Bagets seems to be the inspiration of any teen TV series or movie ever produced such as TGIS, Gimik etc. The original cast includes, Herbert Bautista, Aga Muhlach, William Martinez, JC Bonnin, Raymond Lauchengco, Eula Valdez, Jobelle Salvador, Yayo Aguila, etc.  It is said that Bagets launched the career of Aga Muhlach.

The new Bagets features XLR8 members AJ Muhlach (Aga’s half brother) and Aki Torio, and showbiz newbies Josh Padilla (son of Gino Padilla), Rico de la Paz (from Star Factor) and Yohan Laurence (discovered in recent auditions).

Well it seems that the show is just a mere proof that  nothing can beat the original Bagets. It is kind of disappointing to watch it. This teen show features some of the talents of TV 5 and even the soundtrack of Bagets 2011 cannot compare to the songs of the past Bagets.

Agree or disagree?

Catch Glee Season 3 on Sept 21.

One of the most loved TV shows of teens all over the works today is Glee and the good news is that this American hit TV show will be back this month on ETC for its 3rd season. Are you excited?

You can catch the U.S. Match-airing premiere of Glee Season 3 on ETC on September 21 (Wednesday) at 4pm and 9pm. Here’s what you can expect from this season:

According to Glee’s creator, Ryan Murphy, Glee Season 3 will focus more on the characters and the story. It means there will be less singing performances and less celebrity guests. We heard that Charice who appeared in Glee Season 2 as Sunshine Corazon, a foreign exchange student from the Philippines will not be back this season. The same goes for Chord Overstreet who played the character of Sam last season.

The new school year in McKinley High will also be filled with changes as Will tries to inspire more students to join New Directions and Sue’s bid for public office deals a potentially devastating blow to the Glee Club.

This season will also be memorable because it will cover the graduation of Glee stars, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and Kurt (Chris Colfer). Another thing to watch out is the new look of gorgeous Dianna Agron who play the character of cheerleader, Quinn.

Win Tickets to the Advance Screening of Glee 3D Concert Movie!

Kathryn Bernardo: The Next Young Superstar?

The title of Young Superstar belongs to the award winning actress, Judy Ann Santos because of her immense popularity that is comparable to that of the original superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor.

As Judy Ann’s showbiz career takes a backseat for now because she chose to make
her marriage and children a priority, the country may already be looking for the next star to be given that title.

And of all the young stars today, Kathryn Bernardo is currently being eyed as the one to be the next young superstar. Can she be the next young superstar? As of the moment, she seems to be the most likely candidate because she got the role of Mara in the remake of the teleserye that has launched the career of Judy Ann Santos, Mara Clara. Kathryn Bernardo is also said to be the top choice in the remake of another Judy Ann teleserye, Esperanza.

With her sweet smile, pleasant looks, superb acting ability and growing number of fans, would you agree with me when I say that Kathryn Bernardo leads the young stars of her generation?

Her full name is Kathryn Chandria M. Bernardo. She was born on March 26, 1996 in Cabanatuan City. She is srudying at OB Montessori and is currently a contract artist of Star Magic. Together with Julia Montes, she is the star of the Star Cinema movie, Way Back Home. Her current show in ABS-CBN is Growing Up.

Daniel Padilla Newest Heartthrob in Town

One man’s loss is another man’s gain- these are the words that can summed up Daniel Padilla’s fate today. This is because he replaces the role of Albie Casino in the new youth-oriented show of ABS-CBN, “Growing Up.” As Albie’s career seems to be stagnant for now, this also means that Daniel will be the new loveteam of Kathryn Bernardo.

His real name is Daniel John Ford Padilla and he was born on April 26,1995. He comes from a family of actors as he is the son of Karla Estrada and Rommel Padilla. He is also a part of the ABS-CBN show, Gimik 2010 but his biggest break so far is the role in “Growing Up.”
